My favorite thing from class was learning about movies, and being able to watch and break down their meanings. I enjoyed this because i love seeing things in art, such as movies, that not everyone sees or knows about. For example, in Oh Brother Where Art Thou. I had no idea it was connected to Oedipus even though i have read the Odyssey and studied it before. Being able to learn about things the director mixed in the moive that not everyone notices, is really cool and helpful for other classes i have been in. Also dealing with movies, i found the man that you brought in to talk about movies and auteurs to also be very interesting. His lecture on auteurs and how director can create totally different movies that are also all connected in a specific way is so facinating. This idea of seeing things in movies that arent always seen at first glance is also found in the lectures you gave to us about art. You would show a painting that i had no idea about, and then tell the story behind it which made it make so much sense. After being informed what was going on behind the painting it was so clear whne looking at it, and made it easy to feel what the author wanted us to feel.
